Matt Aitken is Managing Director of IVE Group Limited (ASX: IGL), one of Australia’s leading integrated marketing and communications companies, employing over 2,100 people and generating approximately $1 billion in annual revenue.
Matt has been with IVE for more than 26 years and has served as Chief Executive since August 2019, transitioning to Managing Director in June 2024. In 2025, he was named CEO of the Year by Mumbrella’s Unmade Index, recognising his leadership and contribution to the industry.
He began his career in marketing and data within financial services, including time with Westpac in New Zealand, before moving into data and technology consulting. In 1998, he established the Sydney office of New Zealand-based creative agency Dunham Bremmer, later expanding into Melbourne, before the business was ultimately acquired.
Under Matt’s leadership, IVE has evolved into a diversified, end-to-end marketing services business operating across Australia, New Zealand, and China. He brings deep expertise across marketing, data, manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics, and has led a significant program of mergers and acquisitions, including the company’s successful ASX listing in 2015. He is recognised for building high-performing teams, leading complex transformation, and maintaining strong engagement with stakeholders.
Matt currently serves as a Director of Lasoo and REACH NZ, and is President of the Cronulla Surf Life Saving Club.
